Hey,

I'm Ricky.

I have always had a passion for cars. Growing up in Pennsylvania, I always went to car shows with my dad. Shows would range from late night meets at gas stations, mustang week, swap meets and everything in between. Getting to see the cars, and vendors selling hot-wheels and posters always made me so excited to own my own car one day.

Need for speed Underground, Gran Turismo, and Midnight club 3 were my top games I played, and they just all happen to be about cars. To say I was excited for my first car, was an understatement. I was very fortunate to get a vehicle at 16, my 1996 Honda Accord DX, base model, and I loved everything about it. I took it on drives, out to eat, brought my dates in that car, and took plenty of photos. I would often compare my photos to that of magazines and TV show productions and always wonder how I could get to that quality some day.

Fast Forward a few years, with social media blowing up, I see so many car photos on Instagram that I never knew could be such good quality. I instantly was hook in trying to my car look as good as the movies. I got a Nikon D3000 as a Christmas gift, and I used it on and off. I got discouraged because I learned you can't get nice photos just because you have a nice camera. I put photography down for a few years, until I met another photographer who helped reassure my artistic vision.

Now I shoot for art and my love of the car community. I want to capture car culture in a way to tell a story to someone who knows nothing about it. My work over the past few years has improved tremendously, and I can only learn more from here as my journey continues.

From grass-roots

beginnings.

I started taking my photography skills more serious once I left home. I used it as skill I could learn so I could keep busy in my free time. I spent hours on YouTube, skillshare, facebook groups trying to learn and understand my camera. It took a while to understand that it is not about point-and-shoot and get a good quality photo. I learned that a camera is a tool, and I am the artist, and I have to use my camera to capture what I have in mind.

My earliest photos were not good. Understanding how lighting affects the photos, the position of the car in frame, and making sure nothing in the background 'cuts off' and distracts from my subject took a while to learn. But I love looking back at those photos to reflect on the passion I still have to continue to do better.

Creating powerful imagery

for brands.

I capture moments that tell a story that resonates to everyone listening. Whether its for a product installed on a vehicle, or an heirloom truck that been passed down for generations, I tell that story through my unique perspective.

The Process

01. Connect

We'll plan a day to talk via video chat or phone call to connect you to your car and story. Understanding a story will help organize how the photos need to be shot

Share your story

02. Conceptualize

Discuss expectations of what kind of photos you envision, locations and style of the photos, and what kind of budget we have to work with.

Develop Your Vision

03. Create

We will set up a date and location(s) based on our previous discussions and capture your story.
